1. Purpose
These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") govern how users ("you," "your," or "members") interact on the FlatGrad Platform ("Platform"). They exist to protect the safety, integrity, and fairness of the Platform and apply in addition to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Guidelines at all times.
2. Core Principles
All users must:
- Treat others with respect and professionalism.
- Act in good faith during all interactions, listings, and transactions.
- Comply with all applicable laws (federal, state, and local).
- Maintain the safety, trust, and security of the community.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following are STRICTLY PROHIBITED on FlatGrad. Violation may result in IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION, REMOVAL, or PERMANENT BAN:
A. Illegal or Harmful Activity
- Selling, distributing, or promoting illegal items (drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, etc.).
- Engaging in fraud, scams, pyramid schemes, phishing, or impersonation.
- Facilitating discrimination, harassment, or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or any protected class.
- Uploading or transmitting defamatory, obscene, violent, or sexually explicit content.
B. Platform Abuse
- Creating multiple accounts without authorization.
- Circumventing suspensions or enforcement actions.
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated systems to harvest data.
- Misrepresenting yourself, your listings, or your intentions.
- Posting spam, misleading, or irrelevant content.
C. Safety Violations
- Threatening, stalking, or harassing other users online or offline.
- Encouraging or facilitating unsafe meetings.
- Posting another user's private or personal information (doxxing) without consent.
D. Intellectual Property Violations
- Uploading content you do not own or have rights to.
- Infringing trademarks, copyrights, or other proprietary rights.
4. Transactions & Listings
- Listings must be accurate, truthful, and lawful.
- No false advertising or bait-and-switch tactics.
- Subleases or housing-related postings must comply with local housing laws and landlord/tenant rules.
- Transactions are solely between users. FlatGrad is not a party to any contract or liable for disputes.
5. Offline Interactions
Users are strongly encouraged to:
- Meet in public, well-lit, and safe environments.
- Inform a trusted contact of meeting details.
- Never exchange sensitive personal or financial information outside the Platform.
6. Enforcement & Penalties
Violations of these Guidelines may result in any or all of the following, at FlatGrad's sole discretion:
- Content removal.
- Temporary account suspension.
- Permanent account termination.
- Reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
No refunds or compensation will be provided if your account is suspended or terminated due to a violation.
7. Reporting Violations
Users may report misconduct or violations by contacting:

We investigate reports but do not guarantee action or resolution.
8. No Liability for User Conduct
FlatGrad disclaims all liability for user interactions. You acknowledge that:
- Other users are not screened or verified.
- You assume full risk when interacting with others, both online and offline.
- FlatGrad is not responsible for harm, loss, or disputes caused by other users.
9. Modifications
FlatGrad may amend these Guidelines at any time without notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
10. Relationship to Terms of Service
These Guidelines are incorporated into and made part of the FlatGrad Terms of Service. Any violation of these Guidelines constitutes a violation of the Terms of Service.
